When I say embrace it, what I mean is tune for using it cause that is basically what you get now.

I apologize for the misstep. I rode my XS11 yesterday and filled it twice with pure gasoline.

I just finished adjusting the valves on a Moto Guzzi. What a piece of cake that is! I don't think it takes an hour.

      • There are 2 places in MI that sell 'real gas', meaning no ethanol. Am considering using it once in awhile when I'm over that way, which is only 1/2 hr from my house. I don't usually go by there, but seems like I maybe should? Thoughts?

They came installed from PO. So I didn't have the heart to take them off. Most people, including myself, have not seen these before.

That's the stuff you should be using in your lawnmower, weedeater, chainsaw, and your motorcycle any time it will be parked for a month or more. Buying ethanol free fuel encourages the retailer to sell it. If no one buys it, they'll drop it.

There is a website that suggests places that have Ethanol free fuel:

                  http://www.buyrealgas.com.

They will give you a location by zip code. It appears that some of the places may be older "mom and pop" stores and suggest that you call to verify. They further imply that your best bet is to buy an Ethanol tester.

I am interested in the results that you got with this product. Sounds encouraging. What is it that they (Lucas Oil) claim this product will do for your engine? What did it cost and how much did you use?

                      Hi Ken,

Nice bike. I really like the MNS and hope to have one sooner than later. I see a lot of them with other than factory exhaust. That exhaust looks good on there. I have seen a lot of the aftermarket that were rusted and did not look so good. I wonder if the changes from stock are by choice or for other reasons. Did you change out the stock exhaust or was it already done?

                          Mike,

Ethanol free fuel is available in premium at Turner's Corner on US 19 right before it joins US 129. They have it in Suches, across from the motorcycle resort where 180 ends at 60. The Sunrise Grocery on US 19/129 after you cross Blood Mountain has the best price. They have regular and premium. Get a fried pie while you're there! A couple miles further north, the Booger Hollow Store has ethanol free fuel as well. It is also available in Blue Ridge, Blairsville, Hiawassee, and Clayton.
