    Howdy Greg,

Did you get the side bags unlocked, and if so, how did you do it?

    • Not yet CZ. Been sitting in the AC drinking beer and aggravating people on the 'puter today.

I'll go give it a shot later when it cools off a bit.

      • DAMN! This SF runs GOOD!

I just rode it to the store and got on it on the way back. Speed shifted from 1st to 2nd and damn near went over backwards.

That would have sucked because I had a 30 pack strapped to the back seat.

        • Today Bonz, Capton Zap and I went through everything in the front end if my '79 special. Cleaned, drained and replaced the fluid on the front fork, rebuilt the calipers, greased up my wheel bearings and relived the bearings on the teiple tree. It handles infinitely better! Those two helped me learn a lot today! Cheers to you gentlmen!

              • Haven't run across a fork brace for a good price yet and I've been riding it a lot.

Still working out a wrinkle or 2 and getting a fairing put together for it.

I was trying to learn to shift like a sport bike the other day and was doing real good not getting on it until 2nd gear. Then I tried about 3/4 throttle in 1st and speed shifted to 2nd and popped a wheelie, a pretty good wheelie at that. Came home and picked the seat cover out of my butt.

                    • Greg- I loveeeee that color!!! I wish I had a few tanks and side covers to swap out for whatever colorvI felt like showing off. Mine is yellow now, and I enjoy the attention it gets. I think since my engine is so ugly, I'll be painting it over the winter.

                            • I checked my mileage for the first time yesterday. When I filled up and reset it, I wasn't planning on all the acceleration runs and hard riding I would do. I ran out 3 gallons and that was all very hard riding. I got 28.3mpg. I think that is probably good for all the throttle I was using, what do you guys think. Well, I reset my counter when I filled up and am going to try and ride normal to see how much I can get but it will be hard.
