Nice!
Congratulations Phil.
Interesting styling- not old, not new (like the 'Transformer' style crotch rockets), not a Gold Wing look either.
How many cc's?-Mike

Connie!
Wow, a 1st Gen. Connie ...
Nice find, Phil!
I haven't seen one of those cruising around in a few years ... a buddy at work had one for many years, then traded it for a Gold Wing.
The last model year for the 1st Gen. was 2006, with 2007 bringing the new Connie 14.
Since yours is a late model 1st Gen., it should have all the minor upgrades Kawasaki gave the bike over the years.
With that 7.5 gal. tank (IIRC), you'll be riding a long way between fill-ups!
Congrats!

Thats just awesome Phil...these bikes are quite reliable and have endurance on par with the Honda ST1100s...This is sport touring and you are about to be totally spoiled...you might keep Addie for a while but she'll be languishing in the garage. Cant wait to see it in person in less than 2 weeks...No doubt you'll be riding Connie to XSSE...I'm sorry Addie hasnt worked out well and I dont blame you one iota for raising the white flag with her....BTW theres a few around here forsale and they generally dont go for more than $2500-$3000...

not sure what your issues wtih Addie are Phil...but it seems carbs were never right and every time you want to take a trip you have to fix something...the Connie will go many trouble free miles...I've ridden 85000 miles on 2 ST1100s and the only things i did was add gas...oil and tires...I did have one failure with my '01 ST1100 and i was able to have it fixed for free because of the fine network of ST owners..other than that one time ocuurance everything else has been trouble free...If my XS1100 ran like Addie then i too wouldnt be very happy with it...however that is not the case ...IMHO Addie needs a total makeover...engine...carbs... electrical...just a guess on my part tho'

C10's are good bikes.
Kawasaki built them, pretty much unchanged, for more than a decade.
They're carb'd bikes, and nowhere near as quick as the C14's are, which are fuel injected. But, still very respectable, comfortable, and dependable tourers.
They'll definitely get the job done.
Half the members on COG (Concours Owners Group) forum own C10's, and love them. Parts are plentiful. They have a huge, loyal following.
One member had transplanted a ZRX powertrain, and did a complete custom makeover. Turned out to be one cool beautiful bike.'82 XJ1100J Maxim (has been sold.)
