The ipod is a great player. The lowest cost shuffle is 1gb and holds about 240 songs. It's about the size of a large postage stamp and clips right on your lapel. At $79 it's a great deal. You get about 12 hours of battery life. No screen though.
Step up to a nano and you get a screen, 24hours of playback and storage of 2, 4 , or 8 gigs. Prices start at $149 for the 2 gig. I recommend shopping at the Apple site as you get free shipping and engraving.
I can't believe she's not interested in the 8-track though....

Spring time

It looks like 6 weeks of winter was stuffed into the last 3 weeks in the Great White North. I had not realizeed that this region reached so far south of Canada extending to Chicago and southern Pa.

Spring time is coming. I plan on bringing my summer gloves to XS east. I believe I will need them.

I think I saw a little snow Saturday. As I was riding home about noon., and stopped at a red light, I saw some very small white specks blowing sideways in front of me. Some slight chance of was predicted, still I thought it was cigar ashes in the wind, but it was coming from upwind and spread over a wide area. Afew minutes later, I got home & checked the temp. and it was 40.

Was this snow? If you were to measure to the nearest millimeter, It would round off to a big zeroe. I guess not enough to count.

Anyway, freezing temps are yeilding to sunshine, southern breezes and longer days. (50s today upper 60s later in the week) All temps listed for my area are in farenheit and above zeroe. still many days untill XSeast. Spring will be ariving in the great white north long before then. Get those bikes ready, maybe even wear out another back tire practicing.

Ridin in Georgia

Rather be ridin in Georgia right now Marty and Brent....here in Snowva Scotia its been a deep freeze last month or so....its mild now at -9 celcius, we havent had the big snows yet but there always late, hope to be ridin by late April anyway....yeah have fun Brent see you at XS East! Last time was at East 2002, ages ago.
