Eastern Canucks a Comin'

Just got off the phone with Keith from the Port Lodge Motel. I got one of the last 2 bed rooms on the hill (with a cot). Yes, we are a comin', boys and girls.

Bruce, David and I will take the route through NB, to Quebec and on to Ontario. We will cross the border at the Thousand Islands, just like the Alexandria Bay Rally. Hey Wayne, want to meet us at Brockville like last time?

By the way, I've been pestering Bruce for a long time now to tranplant the '79 engine from his donor bike into his ailing '78. Oh noooo... can't do that Much easier to pull the '78 engine, bring it into your home and tear it all apart in your kitchen!

Got a phone call from Bruce a few days ago. He says "listen to this..." and the next thing I hear is a XS engine running but it sounds different from his '78. He's real happy because its the '79 running for the first time; just had a clogged exhaust. It runs and sounds much better that the '78. And guess what? He's going to put it into the '78. Great idea Bruce! I'd never would have come up with an idea of doing a simple transplant.

Don't worry, Bruce and I are great friends and I can poke a little fun at him! h

Anyway, come May 25, you should see 3 blue coloured bikes roll into Port Lodge Motel . A Yamaha Scooter, a '78 XS1100 and a '80 Kawasaki 1000. Looking forward to seeing all you guys and girls again!

I do have an XS, or at least a rumor of one. Since you will be at this rally, I will probably be on a different bike and can not prove my VP qualifications.

I will be Sparta NC the weekend before the Mexico Ny rally. Kind of thinking of wandering up through the Eastern Sea Board towards Mexico NY. I got a couple of states I haven't been through that way.
