      Hey Phil,

Thanks for the comments. As for last years video, I'm afraid it didn't turn out any where as good as I had hoped, my bracket was not as stable as previous years, so the video was even more bumpy. I made one for Dean/Laxdad so he could critique his own riding, and one for MartyA, but that was it. I didn't keep any copy of the video. Perhaps Dean and MartyA can bring their DVD copies if folks want to watch them?

I wasn't planning on bringing the Zilla-Cam, but with this many in attendance, and a slightly more leisurely ride schedule, perhaps we could have time for recording more than just the riding?? I added that nice car power adapter for it connected to my aux terminals, so battery time isn't a concern now.

I'll work on strenghthening the camera mount brace in hopes of reducing the unwanted vibrations, so I could then put together a better quality package for folks to have afterwards! Looks like I just talked myself into bringing the Zilla-Cam afterall! I also have a better quality dig/still cam so those shots can look better also, for importing into the Final DVD production!

Hey Ralph, thanks, but looks like Gary has a bunk held for me, so I'm good to go. Just hope I can get a spare T-shirt!

      • I'm wondering if I'll be needing to compete with TC for the last extra T-shirt. TC's 6'6", I'm 5'8". But I want a nightshirt REAL BAD!

        • still waiting

Still waiting for my sidecovers, tank and tailpiece! Gettin anxious as well! Perhaps I may show up at the rally with a friggin big funnel duct taped to my handle bars!!!

Good news is the engine is running tops! Color tuned it twice, carbs are synched. Idles real nice......Rattle canned the saddle bags (black) to match the rest of the bike, heck I'm gonna look like the twin of the "Phoenix".

We we will be leaving on a Wed. which means I'm gettin off Wed. morning off of the 12 hour night shift, sleepin 3 hours then headin out for a 12 hour run...

          • Somebody remind me to bring the DVD a day or two before or I will forget.

Do we have a big screen TV available?

            • Not sure we have a big screen available. I was thinking of moving mine up, but I really don't want to chance it. We could rent one for the weekend if you think we need it.

              • It looks like the Yamaha Majesty Scooter will not be coming to the rally. Aaahhh....

The good news is I went a road trip with Dave this morning to a MC dealer in Dieppe, New Brunswick to buy another bigger, used bike, a crusier. Unfortunately, it was sold after being advertised for just one day. Darn, but the salesman took my name and would call if any more came in. The bikes were selling like crazy. I noticed a nice Yamaha, power crusier on the floor (a bit too expensive for me) but it too was sold after only one day. Well, seeing my interest in that bike he mentioned that he just took in trade another, older one like it (owned by a 62 year old!) and would sell it to me at a my price. Well, it was still out back and it looked great. It needed a new battery and a new transmission shifter seal, so I could not test drive it. I place a refundable deposit on it and they will get it ready to ride this coming week. If it works well next week, I'll buy it and have few days to get ready for the trip to the rally.

What is it? Can you say V-Max !?

                  • I have a LCD projector I can bring. Nothing extraordinary, one that I use for work. But if you have a white wall, it should get the job done. Let me know, TS

                      The projector should work someplace.

                        • TC mentioned that the camera mount came loose so there is some vibration. I enjoy it cause there is about 25 minutes of me and Sally in front of TC (hey it is a rare event when ANYone is in front of TC!!!) so if you want to see THAT well OK. We are at a nice sedate speed, and I can show you how we outfoxed the local LEO.

There are some other scenes that are better.

Gary does the motel have a lounge area with a TV? Maybe they have a CD player we could hook p for a few minutes. I don't think anyone has to lug any special equipment or anything.

I was thinking we could have everyone pull up to the banner and I could take a photo of each bike with rider and / or pillion in front of the banner. I think we could do this fairly quickly, maybe in the AM as we are heading out, or in the PM when we all get back from our rides.

Of course we will take the obligatory group shots, and I am sure we will have photo ops along the way, if sixtysix slows down once or twice...

Besides our pictures would not be complete without you and me standing side by side in them.
