Hi, and thanks for the nice pic. I almost forgot to pack a few items, but your picture reminded me. heading south. Daytona bike week again.

I think that my grass needs cutting all ready. But it will look ok in the rear view mirror in the predawn light.

I have been trying to hold back, pull my punches so to speak. There really is more riding story.
Leeanne wanted to check map and route to be sure I was not planning on going to Mexico, south of the Rio Grande, on our way to NY. "You can not trick me now Dad. I have studied geography"
It was nice & warm in Texas last weekend too. Texas elms are in Bloom. When the breeze would blow the flower pedals swirling in the air, It looked almost like snow. I thought of my friends in the Great White North. It is thawing now right?.
I saw some impreSXive wrenching done in Texas Saturday.
Happy motoring,
Brent

Hey Brent, FIRST -- -- Long time no see.
Second, INQUIRING minds [mine at least] wants to know -- ---
While in Texas, did you and Danny Meyer get to meet???
I've had the privilege of meeting and riding with both of you guys, [underline privilege] and think that it would have been awesome if TWO long distance riders would have "crossed paths" so to say.
As you can tell, I respect the h*## out of both of you guys.
Perhaps all of our paths will cross again someday.
Currently, it's looking doubtfull that I'll attend this year's xsEast; but -- -- -- WHO KNOWS??? Having to "clock in" at 8PM Mem. Day Monday night is my biggest draw-back.
I wish everyone a good rally in N.Y. and hope there's no bent rims during the scouting. [attention, 66!]

Hey Greg just come up Thursday or Friday and leave Sunday. It's only a 1 day ride each way on that "couch" you got.
Yes, I did met Danny Myer. The front of his bike was covered with bugs. I XSpressed some minor reservation, regarding the truth or fiction of his books. He said that the names had been changed, mentioned nothing about innocence, & signed My book.
I have become much less of a doubter after seeing some of the same stuff he writes about. If you have never done a surprise one handed high wheelie, Believe me> It is just as XSiting as Danny describes.

Tom, [Huron 52] 'still have that extra bed available in N.Y.?
If so, I may split the room cost with you, etc. 'IF' it's still available.
"IF" I do this year's XSEAST Rally, I'll get home from working 3rd shift on Friday morning. NO sleep, ride the 'Wing "straight legged" to Mexico N.Y.
Needless to say, I'd need a place to 'rest my weary head' [reminds me of a song] until Sat. morning.
I'd then be leaving for home on Sunday morning so that I'd have a one day "buffer" before working 3rd shift again.
I'm just playing with ideas here; possibilities -- -- -.
Gary, any ideas on IF there are any hotel accomodations still available in the area??
I'd need Friday and Sat. night for sure. 'Might shoot me a PM if you know of anything. [Gary]
I'll check with my buddy Keith and see if he's interested. More than likely I'll be riding solo on the 'Wing either way it goes. 'May just 'plain 'ole be 'Wingin' it "either" [both??] way[s]!
As Russ mentioned, I'll be riding the "couch" for sure on this one!
Ride Safe,
Greg
