Heres my new project. I added the bags, and remounted the seat 2" back, removed phantom pass. seat and repaired 2 holes in rear fender. And added wind shield.

I have a pair of 05 sportster pipes(10$ ebay) coming. I am putting one in place of whats there.

Close ups of motor...I lightened pics to see in the crevices.

            Nice Job!

Great looking. What kind of headlight is that and how did you mount it?

Did u need to rejet the carbs for those filters? Did they add power?

                Thanks guys,

Head light, dunno looks like harley. I'll take a pic of the mount this evening.

The carb filters, yes you have to up the pilot jet size by 1 size. filters+jets+4-1 header = more HP. There usually done at the same time. If you increase air in you have to increase fuel in, and in turn you have to increase velocity of the flow out.

                  Update

Heres 2 more. Head light mount and my new sportster pipe. I trimmed 2" off the end of the header. Other than that no modifacations to install it.
                  Sounds great.
I have a sound clip soon as I figure out how to dl it from camra.

                          XS in tree

The motorcycle being consumed by the tree in the photo previously posted is in fact an XS650. It's either a '78 or '79 Special.
