  • Actually Ray,

The XS parts were added to the bike...It's actually an 81, so the side covers didn't have an XS on them, only the swoosh and Eleven Special on the emblems. The maroon 'tins' on the bike are from the Bag Lady, an 80 Special, which I am happy to announce is just about road worthy. All I have left to do is get the turn signals working. You can see it of parked behind the front of Kat's bike.

I just saw that a few minutes ago. That looks good. Thank You for doing all that extra work.

Hey Wildkat, I love your backrest. Can you tell me where you got it?

            • Thanks!

              I'm proud of her!
I know the FJ is really going to have some attitude now if I don't get around to those carbs pretty soon and get her going again... but at least she has some pretty company sitting next to her in the garage...

planedick... the backrest, we got off of E-bay...

The last I checked there weren't any unnecessary nuts on the bike.
I don't know... have you seen some of the videos posted lately? Okay... so maybe they weren't riding XSes... but they were definitely unnecessary nuts on bikes...

The thing I really didn't like about the look of the 81s were the checkmarks on the sidecovers... and I really like the Maroon color... Changing out the tank and sides (and as John said, adding XS parts.. ahem... Ray ) changed the whole image of the bike... now I just need to get it go faster...

Mine would look that good too if you owned it.

Attila is somewhat overwhelmed by your accolades however he and I both were completely devastated when he didn't make the cut for the dirty dozen in the 08 calender. Attila can take rejection though as he sat in the far corner of the garage for some 15 years while I

Attila can take rejection though as he sat in the far corner of the garage for some 15 years while I played with my 900 Ninja, V/65 Sabre, FJ1100 and Mr. Max untill one day at the beginning of the 21st. Century I looked into the back of the garage and rediscoverd the Disco Super Special of my youth. At present he is sporting 1179 cc's and a bunch of trick parts with more cc's coming and one thing is for sure, the black Super Special will be making up for lost from now on.

                              • My most humble apologies

to you and Attila... However, now that I have a really nice picture... I will most certainly make certain he makes the cut next year.
The problems I had with this year's calendar were:
                                1.) getting started too late...
and 2.) I couldn't enough good pictures of great looking bikes...
(the bikes were nice... the pictures weren't great)

You, your knowledge and your bike... all deserve to have a MAJOR place in the calendar....

                                Will Attila forgive me?

More CC's? Are you going with the 1196 big bore now? or doing something even more Special to him?
