    • Hey mstic2000,

Nice touch in the last photo, showing a few gears in the bottom right

Did I hear somewhere that they Venture also had second gear issues?

      • The Ventures were plagued with 2nd gear issues too. I don't think this one had it. It shifts beautifully. It is one smooth comfortable ride. And.....the greatest and most wisest option to this bike is SWAMBO luvs the passenger seat!

        • The second gear fix was in '86, so the PO may have had it repaired already. If not, you KNOW the drill.......

          • Ok i have to ask....What the hell does "SWAMBO" stand for? I've been seeing it a bunch on here but never knew what it meant. From what i gather it has something to do with the wife or the girlfriend or the old lady of some kind? Anyone want to enlighten me on this?
Yes it's a damn nice bike, yes it's in REALLY good condition, yes it would be a shame to chop it, BUT damn how cool would it look with ape hangers?

                • Hi folks

I know some of you have seen these photo's on the UK XS forum already but thought I'd show them here.

I kinda like the Mad Max look.

I have still got a heap of work to do, it was hung together for a national show our club did, these pics are just before loading it on the trailer.

I've still got to make wiring loom and rear wheel hugger, if anyone wants to see the build its on the UK site
