          • I love it when people leave their bike dirty. Makes me feel better about my rat bike and shows that they've actually done some riding!

            • That's not dirt that is a protective coating the rain gods bestowed upon me.....I do not clean twice and ride once...as long as the oil is clean and tire pressures up....it is HI HO SILVER AWAY......

              • I am completely opposite. Whenever I ride through rain, I hit a carwash. I keep those pipes and paint nice and shiny. Don't forget how dirt can contain moisture. When you let it set, you gety those nice rust pits.

                • I have some kinda special super power, every time I wipe/clean/wash one of my bikes off... it rains.
I swear, I just thought about wiping off the mufflers on my Sprint Saturday, at work after some adjustments, and the sky got real dark.....

It's a cool power, sometimes I do it just for fun; just to piss people off at work, I'll clean my bike off at lunch time....

I cleaned my bike off and waxed it real shiney, for the XS11 East rally in WV 06; it rained on me all the way up...

                  • I should have got a picure of my bike after I got down from Pikes Peak. Tons of ruts and they were spraying the roads down with water. The last few miles aren't paved and they have to frequently run the road grader.

                    • I don't mind my bike getting dirty at all, part of riding but just thought of this ,the one thing I think I do regret is not having a mud flap on the front fender...the front of my engine is a mess after all these years of abuse.

Where'd you get your windshield? Did you have to do any modifying to put it on? I'm looking for one for my red XJ.

It came on the bike. A couple L brackets and clamps work good.
