Greg...too far ahead to speculate... I hate it when people say "what if"? or "remember when?" focus on now for that is all you really know you have control over...

I'm speaking of a change of leadership, maybe get someone who actually does it.

Tomorrow I'll call the Iron Horse and give up the room. I was really looking forward to taking the time to enjoy the ride this time and seeing everyone again but my bank account pretty much melted down into a glowing puddle.

Fortunately I still have a couple of spare XS11 engines so I can get Columbo running again, otherwise I'd be forced to spend at least an hour walking along the freeway to collect enough Harley parts to build another bike.

C'mon man! I swapped out an engine 4 days before a rally before and made it.

I can understand being strapped though.

I was hoping you could make it and meet up with JW, his son, and I in Little Rock or Memphis.

You would have to start a few hours earlier this time though.

Yeah, I can fix the bike, no problem, but I can only afford the trip if I don't eat any food or buy any fuel or oil -- for a few months.

If you left now Scott you could work your way across like the fugitive did,a sheepherder here, ranch hand there, short order cook at a diner, stand at the exits on the expressway selling candy, carry a gas can and say you ran out of gas and you need money for gas and feed your hungry kids and pregnant wife who are in the car broke down on the hwy.

That's a heck of an idea, Stepp! I can only hope that no one actually has to die and I get chased across the country by the FBI/US Marshall Service!
