My bad Ben, they came to look at the nurses that were taking care of me.
Yeah that was hardly a consolation for the rest of us though...speaking for myself i really felt bad you were
n't with us...guess you werent feeling too hot either...so this year will be alot different and hopefully much better..
None of those are pics of my mishap. However, unfortunately, these are......
Notice how crooked my front forks are in the first pic It was still ride able though.

Sorry I won't be making it over there this year. I've got a date with a hot blonde down in St. Thomas that weekend. We'll be trying our best to get rid of that whole "Virgin Islands" thing..

You can live to be 100, as long as you give up everything that would make you want to live to be 100!

Tod, sorry to hear you will not be at the Rally this year. We were looking forward to your presence.
While these Rallies are fantastic to attend I understand a trip to St. Thomas with the mrs. is impossible to compete with. Have FUN

So, time to start finalizing things for the SE Rally. I will post an updated weekend Schedule of Events in a few days. For starters, if you are a first time attendee, WELCOME
We are planning to meet some new people again this year and chat with them about their bikes, then ride-ride-ride.
A big WELCOME to the returnees too!
FOOD:
As in the past, Iron Horse will publish the Fri-Sat Menu's a few days before we arrive and I will post them. For those that have made a room reservation (at the I-H) and paid the deposit then I-H will just take your order and post the charge to the room. Payable at checkout. If you have a roomie or tent mate then they will need to setup their own account with I-H so they can order and then have their food charges on their credit card. Same deal as last year.
ROADS:
Marty, Brent and I will be riding the routes and doing a road check in the next week or so. Most of the roads here are in the good to excellent category so we should be good with the routes unless there have been some washouts or bridge problems. If you want a trip tic or gps file let me know after Sept 1 and I will email it to you.
ARRIVAL / CHECK-IN:
When you arrive at the Iron Horse be sure to check-in with the I-H at the Registration Desk in their office. In addition please sign-in at the XS11 table we setup in the dining hall.
RALLY SHIRT:
See the SE Rally Shirt thread if you want a shirt. At the rally you can pickup your shirt and pay for it at our XS11 sign-in table.
GEORGIA MEET POINT:
As in the past couple years I think we will try and meet up at Day's Inn in Cornelia / Baldwin Georgia. Some ride up US441 to get around the Atlanta hassle and Cornelia in on US441 where it crosses I-985 and US23. That would be Thursday night Sept 25th. Then Friday AM Sept 26 we meet up with Brent and JetMech and ride over the mountain to the Iron Horse.
If you have some questions or need additional info please PM jetmech or myself and will we try to get you an answer. I have to correct that ride-ride-ride statement (above). I guess its more like eat, talk, loiter, ride-a-while gas up and repeat isn't it??
See ya Sept 26th,
Jeff
