    Long way home

Any one taking the long way home heading south after XSeast 2006?

Jet mech Marty, myself and two daughters DO plan on arriving Fri night at the Cow shed. Hope to make Waynesville thursday night. Plans are easy. Some mechanical issues remain.

Early or late, I will get there when I can.

    Happy motoring,

      GOOD NEWS
MY LOCAL WEATHER REPORT IS HIGH 70'S TO LOW 80'S THRU THE WEEKEND WITH A VERY SLIGHT CHANCE OF RAIN FRIDAY EVENING. I AM ABOUT 70 CROW MILES FROM PINVILLE AND TONTO IS ABOUT 60 SO PIEVILLE WEATHER SHOULD BE CLOSE TO OURS . ALSO ABOUT 55 CROW MILES FROM TONTO. HOWEVER THE SNAIL HAS TO TRAVEL A LOT FURTHER IN THESE PARTS.

Thanks to Brent! He came down and fixed my bike this afternoon. I'm having a new tire mounted in the AM and picking up my daughter after school for go! True to form, I put everything off until the last minute.

Ready or Not; Here We Come!

I have a fresh oil and filter change, a fresh wash job [ALOT of water spots included] and the gas guage reads -- -- -- less than 1/4! One last 3rd shift to pull tonight and then it's RALLY TIME!! Not to mention time to gas up!
I'm "shooting" for our group of five bikes to arrive in Pineville by 7 PM Friday.
Like Brent said, Early or late, we'll get there when we can.
I wish everyone a safe and incident free journey. May we all have a good time, take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but tire tracks and make many good memories.
                  RIDE SAFE,
                  Greg, a.k.a. "Tonto"

Fresh oil and a fresh back tire. I'm ready, and scheduled to leave in two hours. I have Atlanta traffic to contend with.

I should be outta here about 8 tomorrow. A tornado just went through about 20 miles from here, so it must be rally time.

                                To all that went,

Bob and I had a beautiful and safe trip home. Bike purred along happy as
ever and doesn't seem to be mad at me for the abuse of Saturday. Best news
is, wife asked if I were going to T.W.O. this fall and when I said yes she
said something like "it is your -ss or you are a dumb _ss ", I didn't
really catch which. I also think life insurance was mentioned but you know
                                how that goes.

Actually, everything is fine and I thank each and every one of you great
people for a wonderful and helpful weekend. It is a privilege to know you all.

                                Thank You.
