Ride plans for Brent & Leeanne, Jetmech Marty & Kendall are to stay Wednesday night in Cruso NC and
Thursday night with Marty's Brother in Herndon VA (about 5 miles from Dulles airport) near Washington DC.

Any northbound XSives care to meet up and ride along?

The girls have proven to be good passengers. They do not slow us down much, But my HD can not keep up with Will Jones Also Marty's Special needs gas frequently.

No intention of keeping you uninformed. Waiting for kids to get out of school tomorrow forces 700 mile day to Stroudsburg. I'd love to do it, but it could prove difficult. We'll have two 500 mile days.

Delayed

I'm gonna be delayed a day Guys. Had the bike out for a run of 12 miles or so, she sputtered and spit until all the carbon was out of the cylinders and gradually cleared her throats.....the clutch swap went well with the help of an axe handle jamming the rear wheel .....the bike idles well but off the line sputters (rich) then picks up and moves out well thru the rest of the range. Its a good engine, smooth and strong, just idle jet issues...I will be a day behind Mark and Dave as I have to finish tuning and packing. Hopefully I wont get lost as I will be solo this time.....Gary whats your phone #....

Umm..I can get lake foam a heck of lot easier!!

Yes NAPA has Seafoam and Wal-Mart has Techron, we even have indoor toilets in the US.

Carbs

I had my carbs cleaned and new kits installed, went out an bought new carb mounts (good buy old cracks) new paint job on the bike.....made sure the petcocks and tank were clean.....new windshield and universal cruise control.....got me a new rain suit (hopen I dont need it) both front and back tires are virgin new! The koni shocks on the back are a bit stiff but OK....went over all the wiring cleaned and checked ....motor swapped and polished...clutch swapped....fuel lines replaced....just need a full tank of gas and my sunglasses.....

This should be my last email for 2 weeks or so....no computer at home and its 3am here on the graveyard shift...

'Just a notice that I posted in the Mexico N.Y. Rally thread as to why I won't be attending this year's XS East Rally.
Brent: I envy you -- -- ---staying at Cruso NC,,, I've been there, done that the summer that we hooked up in Suches, GA.
You can PM me sometime about it; I heard that it suffered a bad flood last spring or either the fall before.
Cindy and I opted for a cabin when we spent a night there. I hope that it's back to it's original lay-out and accomodations.

Hey Greg,

Sorry you can't make the rally this year. Sounds like you got plenty to do to stay busy. Maybe we'll be closer to WV next year so it's not such a long ride for you. We do lose a lot of Canuks when we head south though.
