                    • Is it over already??

                      Well,
Saturday was a beautiful day for riding in NY! Met many old friends, and a few new ones! Sunday arrived with storm front, and SWMBO wanted me back home, so I loaded up Godzilla(on it's trailer) and sadly left the gathering a day early! I arrived home around 7:00pm, not bad for a 9:30 start for ~560 miles.

                      I won the Curt Marsh Memorial Harley Award . . . .
an award for the XS11 that travelled the farthest to get to the rally without touching the ground! TKAT had won it for 3 years(2 - 1500+miles and one 2K+miles), Gary (66) for one, and even Bob Garcia for a paltry 40...yes FORTY miles!

Upon arriving home, had dinner, then unpacked the Xterra, and got the 4 smaller securing straps loosened, then got up on Godzilla on the trailer, and proceeded to remove the last larger front straps. This is where I almost won the "Indy Rick Brick" award!

I put it in neutral, and started to roll it back off of the trailer, when all of a sudden the rear wheel dropped about 8 inches to the ground! I was able to hold it up, and was looking down around to see how I could have missed the loading ramp? That's when I realized that I had forgotten to put the loading ramp ON!!! Thankfully it was a fairly short drop, just bounced on the back tire, so I continued rolling it back and "gently" let the front drop/slide off of the end of the rampless trailer!

Okay, I'll shut up now, just thought you would find that entertaining! Hope the other Xsives didn't get too drowned on their way home, and report in a safe arrival home!

                      • Well Dena and I are home already, 8 miles is murder in a truck.

TC it's too bad you had to go, weather held out for us on Sunday, it rained when we stopped for lunch and the after we got done with ride. Enjoy the Harley Award...I KNOW I DID.

This morning it was beautiful...every body got to leave in the bright Sunshine. I hope most people stayed dry as well.

I just want to thank you all for coming. With out the characters it isn't much of a play.

                        • Great Time

                          Hey Guys,
I left Pulaski at 9:00AM and arrived back in Port Perry at 12:45 PM.
Sorry I didn't get to say goodbye properly to Gary, Dena, Marty and Sally. I thought I would still be there when you guys got back from breakkie.
I would like to thank Gary and Dena for hosting a magnificent rally. As usual everything was great. I was glad to see my old friends and pleased to meet some new friends. I hope everyone makes it home safe and sound.
I am now on my way to the garage to try and solve my electrical dilemma. Thanks for all the suggestions on what it may be. Wish me luck...Piece of crap.

                          Take care,
                          Wayne
