Also, check the fuel line for partial kinks! I've had that problem with my Special.

Needles were the same. However, I'll need to take a step back, as when I put the OG carbs on this morning and started it, I developed a top-end rattle that I'll need to investigate. It'll be interesting to find out what the issue is. I'm not sweating it too much, even if it's bad. That scenario is interesting... one and two running the same and three and four running the same. Typically 2 and 3 run lean because of heat trapped in the middle of the head versus 1 and 4 running richer because they get better cooling air along the outside.
Did you keep the needles specific to each cylinder when you took the carbs apart? I don't know this for a fact, however does Dynojet use different tapers in their needles? It's not unheard of for different needles for inner and outer cylinders. If the needles are different they could be matched up on those cylinders leading to what you're seeing.1979 XS1100F

Lol. I already know what it is, without going much further. Pulled the carbs off, and found two of the butterfly shaft screws misding. Probs some bent valves, but nothing that can't be fixed. I'll have time to pull the head off tomorrow and look at the damage.1979 XS1100F

Holy balls, sorry to hear that. It's great to be able to fix that stuff though, I'm in the same boat if I mess something up royally, I'm able to fix it just takes the time to do it.Howard
