                    On the side covers I usually just use black sharpy ,put the black back in Yamaha ,works fine.

                        Some guy down the street from me does restoration work and said bring a cover to me and I'll show you how its done. First he used a belt sander to get the deep scratches at the bottom of the cover level. Next gave me a rag and paint remover to scrub the paint off. Then he used a scotch-brite pad and finally a he worked it againsta polishing wheel while applying chalk to the pad. At least that's what I remember the steps being. He said he could put a coat on it when it's done.

                            Thanks Ben.

                            Been working on the covers and shining up the bolts. Had the idea of buying stainless steel ones but I'm not finding a complete list of measurements for them. I went to a specialty store with my measurements and bought 6 types of bolts, none of them fit. Thread size was too small. Imperial metric, I measured in cm's, the store has inches, man I give up and will just dremmel the existing ones as best I can lol

                                Pablo:

                                I think your clutch cover is getting jealous.

                                About the SS bolts:

                                This post contains a list of the bolt sizes from Crazy Steve:

                                I had lots of help from the community deciding to go stainless:

                                I got my SS bolts online from BoltDepot.com

                                26 pcs 6mm x 35mm @ $0.29 -> $7.54
                                26 pcs 6mm x 25mm @ $0.22 -> $5.72
                                14 pcs 6mm x 20mm @ $0.21 -> $2.94

                                Total $16.20 + $11.01 shipping (ouch) = $27.21

                                Don't give up you really want to go SS!
