I've been taking care of loose ends and other stuff including the dial-a-jet setup. Got the fuel petcocks changed out for know working units. So far so good on the all SS socket head hardware. She's really starting to look like a bike now.
Looking like a bike

The last piece of the puzzle has been found and won on e-bay. I now have a small bikini café type fairing for this bike. And it's even made for the SQUARE headlight. Sored it for 29 bucks

OK, So now that I have all my camping stuff packed into my new travel trailer :-)
I can see the garage floor and get back to work on this bike. Crap, all I need now is a chain, a chain guard and rear brake caliper support, a few hours work and she's Done. I will however not insure her until Oct when my insurance comes up for renewal. I will not insure both bikes at the same time. I hope to get a few runs in with her before the snow flies

After a lot of fiddle farting around and measuring I have arranged the drive sprocket, spacers and rear wheel up to within about 1/8 of an inch. Of center. This will be the starting point. Because I centered the swing arm which is symmetrical I measured from the rim on both sides over to the swing arm and split the difference between the two measurements to determine the starting point. I have to shim the sprocket away from the wheel 11/32 of an inch for the sprockets to remain lined up while centering the wheel.
I will still need a few spacers to use on the brake side of the axle before I can tighten things up.
Question. Given that there is no internal spacer between the wheel bearing on the rear wheel, what would you think would be a good torque setting for the rear axle nut?
