    • I need a set of those when I get my bike running again!

The LEDs I bought a couple of years ago for the tail/brake aren't really bright enough, I'm gonna get whacked one of these days.

      • basically on the fabrication the heavy gauge sheet metal was cut into 2 oval shapes to match the back of the lights...then 2 perpendicular pieces of metal were cut and welded to the back of the Oval pieces...one piece has a hole with a rubber grommet and just slides onto the rear crash bar and the other bracket has 2 holes drilled to match mounting to existing points of attachment on those rear crash bars...I wish he had taken pics as I too would enjoy seeing how he did it...I was not present at the time...

        • That sounds easy enough to make.

Me no weld though, I'll have to fab it together with SS or brass screws.

          • whatever floats yur boat man... BTW These only function as taillight and brake light...they can also function as turn signals but you would need to buy a converter to wire in to add the turning signals...I elected to not have them blink as they are red and not amber...I would have like to see a set of LED like these with amber lights added to the assy...that would make them even more awesome...as it is though this is a cheaap fix and it is well worth the improved visibility...I am quite happy...

I tried 2 different converters on my bike when I added the bags with lights in them. It worked SOMETIMES but mostly not.

Ended up making the bag lights running lights and turn signals. Added 2 LED strips below those for extra brake lights.

              • well for these LEDs I would have needed a 2 wire to 3 wire converter...Mark did do this and his LEDs do all 3 functions...my concern with using these as turn signals is that ALL the LEDs are red and thus could be confused with the brake light even though they would be timed to blink at the same rate as the amber signals do...theres alot of thick brained cagers out there who'd never figure it out...as always.........YMMV

                • Like I said, I tried 2 different trailer converters and they did the same thing.

Scrapped them and just added a couple extra lights for the brake. No more wiring nightmares.

I had the same issue using LED lights and converters. I eventually made a relay converter to use. It was simple and works great. If you stick with the off the shelf converter be sure it says for LED use on the package. The cheap ones rely on the standard light bulb to make them work.
