And straight pipes. Poor handling and poor engine performance.
Double negative.
Parts bike.

That seat bugged me a lot! Then the hardtail was brought to my attention.

Be a nice short hop bike but not something I'd have an interest in riding.
I gave up unsprung suspensions when I stopped riding 5 and 10 speed 27" wheel bicycles a few decades ago.

Hi Gmac,
and I gave up riding rigid framed bikes the day I could afford to buy a bike with rear suspension.
But you guys are so quick in springing to judgement.
The low seat? Mebbe the rider is too short in the leg to ride it otherwise?
(Back 'ome we'd say the poor bastard had duck's disease.)
Hardtail? But is it? The photo ain't clear enough to be sure but the bike still seems to have a stock swingarm and if some damnfool has strutted it a set of used shocks is an easy fix.
Nor do I reckon it has straight pipes. The sound is wrong for that and the brief glimpse under the hard bags shows some kinda megaphones.

Watched just short of baseball sized hail beat the hell out of my stuff. 2023 car ruined, My old 79 Ford F150 is beat up badly seeing as it still had some metal in it when it was built (seven places where the windshield broke and many dents). One 79SF tank has 2 dents on the curved part beside the gas cap. The 78E has some dents. No damage that I have yet found on the MNS but I sold it a couple of days ago, so if there is, the sale may fall through. The canopy I keep the bikes under is a total write off. Broke the plexi-glass or (whatever it is) windshield on the jammer on the 78E too.
House has siding beat off of it, roof damage, etc as does the garage.
All in all it was not a good day!

Hi Rasputin,
Sorry to hear of your hail storm. While I have never experienced anything above pea size I have seen the damage large hail can do.
i hope you insurance covers that kind of thing.

Sirens have been constant since the storm hit so I am sure many are worse off than myself. Insurance will cover all except the bikes damaged as i only run public liability and public damage on them. But hey it is cheaper that way. I pay $127 a year per bike and if it gets written off I am out the $1500 it is worth, or I pay 400 a year to protect it. You can do the math as well as I can.

Man, here I was all stoked about fitting a stupid washer for my bike today.
A freak'n hailstorm! Ras, now you have just the excuse for all those custom paint and body mods you wanted to do but kept putting off.

Would be cool 3Phase, except I just found minor dents in the MNS and all three damaged bikes were painted and finished. Car might be a write off, 2013 Ford Taurus 39,000 Km's or 24,000 miles on it with over 120 dents in it. Ford truck is old and will take some fixin but it ain't lost it's cool factor yet.
On the house, the shingles are toast and the siding needs replaced. Same with the garage. So custom paint and such shall have to wait until all the deductables have been paid and upgrades like new windows in the house installed etc etc.
Oh yeah, the bikes are only PL and PD so unless my house insurance covers them I am out for fixing them myself. I think I have a headache!

Today I put Columbo's battery on the charger and dropped a 'new' set of 2H7 jugs in a tub to soak and degrease before hitting them with a hone to break the glaze and re-ring.
The pistons were soaked in carburetor cleaner so all of the carbon wiped right off and they're all clean as whistles now.
Tomorrow the real fun begins.

Thanks again to Mark Lew...for starting this trend and fabricating the brackets to mount these lights to the bike...awesome job Mark!!!
These replace the bullet lights previously mounted on there by Randy...
Those are awesome! Got a link to the lights and the bracket-fab?
