            • Ditched the key and installed an RFID ignition. I just sit down and push start, baby shuts off when I dismount Only reason to keep the key is for the gas cap.

Fourty degree temps gettin' a bit on the cool side for this ole' boy! And to think, when bike was new and I invincible I used to ride on the hiway the 10mi. to work in 0 to 10degree temps..........wasn't quite bullet proof, but a mite close..........then by the following winter the "newness" had worn off.

                  • Started the cleanup for the cabling in the front. Going for the minimalist look for the gauges. I pulled out the cables that I didn't need and then re-wrapped it in braided expandable sleeving. I found it odd when removing the original sleeves that is was all very damp.... this thing has been sitting in my office for two months now and should have been bone dry but as I was pulling it through the bike, water dripped out of the end of the cabling sleeve.

Pulled the clutch cover off and backed out the bolts and put them all back to 7 lbs. Started cleaning up the outside of the clutch case. Went to home depot and picked up some buffing wheels.

                      • Replaced the spark plug cables When messing with them I found that three of the four cables were very loose...the hard sheath coating was broken on them. so I have replaced the cables...and used hot glue to stop every thing from moving around.

                        • Great Ranger loaded and ready to go to work with me tomorrow.

It's the slow time of year and I can get it squared away and ready to sell before spring.

Brakes are hanging and carbs need cleaning. The rest is pretty much cosmetic.

I have a stack of them in the shed. Part of the cosmetics I mentioned.

Gotta scrape up an exhaust and seat for it too.
