Yeah, I wonder if I can find something that will work in the help isle at Napa? They look surprisingly like air cleaner bolts, but of course being metric and a likely strange length and all that may be problematic.

      • I relisted my 78 bagger on Kijiji, and looked at the other 2 buried in the snow...

I did have the ST out week before last.
Nice day, if it doesn't rain...

        • Disassembled and cleaned the ignition and took the ignition to a real locksmith and got keys made so I have more than one key that actually work.

Pulled the tripletree lower bearing off and cleaned both bearings. Cleaned and repacked the swingarm bearings and installed them.

At some point I news to start cleaning the engine so I can get it back in the frame.

I'll say it again. A clean shiny bike is the sign of a sick mind. So that obviously means I've got a healthy mind.

You have to start somewhere though. I am by no means a clean and polished person, but piles of dirt and 1/4 inch thick cakes on grease is not my thing either.

Wow! At it's worst mine wasn't that bad. It gets a bit dirty at times, and it's not all polished up or anything like that, but it's mostly chrome, metal or paint that you see (except for the seat cover).

Oh, and the ABS of the fairing, bags and trunk.
