      • New (shorter) throttle and clutch cable due to putting Daytona bars on (stock bars made my arms tired). Changed pads all the way around. Fixed leaky petcock.

        To-do:

        Fork Brace
BreaK carbs down over the winter and clean, then sync.
        Possible re-paint

        • I pushed the Pumpkin out into the snowstorm to make working room in the garage so my son and I could install the Buick's snow tires & winter rims.
Put the Pumpkin back inside after, it's a snug fit with the Buick, the BSA and the table saw but there's still just enough room to squeeze the snowblower in when I take it from the shed tomorrow.

              • Cleaning a rack of carbs for terratek he came by with this afternoon.

He got them all disassembled no problem except two of the pilot jets. Tiny suckers seem stripped by the PO so cleaning them in place. Will soak the jet passages in Seafoam after Ultrasonic PineSol bath is done. Cooking those bodies for a few hours should get rid of that green algae stuff growing inside!

                    • LOL...just kiddin' about the carbs but a ride down that way ain't out of the question depending on weather conditions.

I got 2 bikes I'll need to take on shakedown cruises and an 11 or 12 hundred mile round trip would be a good thing.

I got plenty of pit stops if needed on that route.

                            • Tearing her apart

Well the last time I started The Cruise Missle, she was not firing on #'s 2& 3. At that time, probably middle of March, I was thinking it was one of the coils not firing. I was thinking 1&3 and 2&4 were on a coil for each set. After looking at the wiring diagram, it looks like it is 1&2, 3&4. Is that correct? It could have been fuel flow problems. I'm going to remove the carbs and clean them, check the jetting as I believe she was running lean. I'll see when they are apart. Anyway I started disassembling her last night. Replaced the battery and cleaned the connections on + and - wires. Installed the new fuse block. Got the tank off. I downloaded the wiring diagram, and crazy steves electrical diagnostic tutorial. I'm pretty sure it is going to be something simple, just have to go at it step by step. I'm hoping it is just loose connection. She ran like a scalded dog when I got her, but I let her set to much. Must be kinda like a woman, gotta' keep that motor running. I'll surely be starting and riding a little more often once she is running again.

                              • If it's not firing on 2 & 3 it's most likely an ignition problem. A bad or lost power or ground wire connection at the coil, a bad coil, broken pickup coil wire or a bad pickup coil. It could be a carb problem but since it's 2 cylinders that are on the same ignition circuit that's where I would start.
