  • This ought to be a sticky sometimes its hard to dig out in winter...

I tore off the exhaust and footpeg holders from Enterprise...the mufflers stayed connected together via crossover pipe but broke off from headers. What looked like it was gonna be a decent save of original exhaust on further inspection was a welded together mess.

      • This is the color I'm going with on the SF. Did the covers to get an idea of how it would look.

          • Fred, I might come visit in the summer (when is that, a couple weeks in August?) but that's way too close to the arctic Circle for me to even THINK about moving there.

I grew up just 50 miles south of the Canadian and Saskatchewan border in Montana. I know what I'm talking about.

I've been lazy lately. I'll probably hit that hard since it's getting close to spring now.

I have everything I need except the ambition.

                  • Today

Well I rode it up Island.
But mostly I think about what I will do when I get time, and the other bike insured.
All the chrome seems to rust so I will paint everything, including the exhaust.
Used to have a 650 BSA in the early sixties, was mint. I painted the frame tartan red and it looked real sharp.
So I have been thinking about painting the frame of Yami tartan red, for nostalgic reasons.

                        • Ha ha ha....... y'all are a bunch of comedians aren't you?

Green is my favorite color and green isn't a color you see a lot on these bikes. I don't know why. It actually looks quite good.

The Bob Jones custom "Limey Accent" is a good example.

                          • It lives... (and so do i)

I went out pulled off the cover, and stared at them, and as I did, the clouds parted and the sun shown down.. It must be a sign that this is the year that Rusty and Mongrel come back to life again....

I've been gone a long time, but life and singleparent hood will do that to ya, well the kids are grown, and that itching place in the soul for the bike is stirring...
