That works great, but NOT in Can'taffordya! We don't have ANY ethanol free gas available! Well, maybe if I pay about $50 per gallon, I can find some....

      BIG Thank You to Tinman905

I cleaned it replaced a few missing screws. pumped up the tires and am ready to load up in the morning for XSEast.
BIG Thanks to Tinman905 who fixed the broken exhaust stud that I had no hope of repairing. He also re-synched the Carbs and gave her a through going over.

Cleaned up and refinished a valve cover for Ol' Okie 'cause I'm gonna check the valve adjustment as soon as the new gasket gets here.

I used spray truck bed liner this time, we'll see if that holds up better.

Installed my new trunk too. Now I can haul even MORE stuff on my trips....

I got sick of losing two cylinders in rain, washed the bike the other day and it did it again

Fired the bike up after washing it and ran great, put on my riding kit, jumped on and put it in gear, soon as the neutral light goes out it drops to 2 cylinders GRRR!!! back into neutral and all 4 chime in.

So I got sick of the neutral light wiring affecting the ignition pick-ups wiring so totally re-wired the whole ignition pick-ups, up to the terminal block connector under the right side panel. I extended the new wires so where I spliced them to the pick-up super flexi wires can now be slid up inside the left engine cover keeping the join dry.

              Hope that works.

You don't have to be old to ride a cruiser. You just have to realize that function is much more important than form.

Mine was doing that for years. I rewired and bundled the wires up in a water proof loom and it still did it. Finally I got in behind the fuse panel and pulled that plug apart and filled it with dielectric grease, hasn't hiccupped since.

Hahaha, I did that when refitting the plug, I don't really care what cures it as long as its cured. The weather forcast is for lots of rain tomorrow and I have to go up to a mates house (setting up cam timing on the drag bike) so I'll give it a try.

I also had the tank off and checked the petcock that was knocking, it works perfectly with no diaphragm leaks, I couldn't find why its knocking but fitted an old pilot jet as advised here which cured it. Bike runs well and quiet. Again I don't know what was wrong but as long as its cured I'm happy.

Just remember what Burt Munroe found out. To much weight behind the rear wheel induces wobble.
So stow the beer in the side bags.
And, come to think of it, to much beer induces wobble also.

Wobble? I thought that was just normal. I guess I'm balance challenged.

Got my rear brakes going again. Disassembled the kill switch and cleaned the contacts. Fixed my turn signals so there are no bare contact points as well as the signals in the front actually show me going the right direction .

Yesterday I got the Carbs synced and took her for a quick spin. Also installed the rear view mirrors and got them pointed in the right direction. A year an a half into what was a none starter. Heading to get the tabs tomorrow She lives once again!
79F with two parts bikes (78E and a 79F). Ran it for the first season all the way through the summer. more work to do this Spring!

It's always helpful when your turn signals are hooked up correctly so you don't have to yell at your bike, "No! Your other left!"
