Sandy has me set up for an RV site (57 I think) in the same general area I was parked last year. Unless they changed it all around, there are plenty of tent sites near there. If you making reservations give her Katter and she'll locate you.1980sg-Stocker-- Sold

There seems to be a couple of Cali Rally sites goin’ on. I kinda lost track for a while. As of now I plan on making it down and camping out, so I hope there is a tent site I can rent.
I can take a turn at cooking.
I am really looking forward to seeing everyone again and meeting new people. And of course the ride: it’s all about the ride, right?
Special EdOld bikers never die, they're just out of sight!
My recently re-built, hopped up '79 Special caught fire and burned everything from the top of the engine up: gas tank, wiring, seat, & melted my windshield all over the front of the bike. Just bought a 1980 Special that has been non oped for 9 years. My Skoot will rise from the ashes and be re named "The Phoenix!"
I've been riding since 1959.

I have NOT reserved a site, as of yet. My plan was to share with someone, or be in the "group" site. I'm trying to get the carbs working properly on the big bike, as I need to carry all my stuff this time! Ed and I will probably blast down Friday afternoon, and I hope to arrive about 7:00pm.
I also need to work on a spare transmission for Ed's bike, as he is now down to 3,4,and 5 for gears! See everyone in a few weeks!Ray Matteis

From what I've heard the group site should have plenty of space, never been there or seen it but its been said several times. I do have a site reserved for me and SWMBO and our son, but we are happy to share the site, so long as "language" is watched around our parrot, oh wait, I mean our 3yr old.1979 xs1100 Special -

I just got back from Santa Cruz and I took the Nacimiento/Fergusson Road to the coast then all the way down to San Luis Obispo.
There is ~$5.00 gallon gas in Gorda, CA, about five miles south of the Nacimiento/Fergusson Road on the Pacific Coast Highway.
There is also gas available on-post at the Fort Hunter-Liggett AFEES station. They're having summer war games again. You need a credit card because the pumps are not attended but it's not $5.00 a gallon. Current bike registration and proof of insurance is required to enter the post.-- Scott

Planned Rides
I believe that I still have the Roadrunner Magazine article that shows four (4) loop rides out of the Paso Robles area. I was planning on bringing that along (again) this year since we didn't do any of them last year. Naciemiento - Ferguson road may have been one of the loops.

OK for you guys who have been to the KOA before, are there plenty of trees on/around the group site? Reason I ask is...
it looks like I'm going to be solo - due to money, gonna cost an extra 200 just to drive the family wagon down and back, so I'm thinking of canceling my reservation and pitching in with the group site folks, however I hate sleeping on the ground, much prefer to hang out in one of these however they do require a tree or two1979 xs1100 Special -

The site is basically a flat space at the top end of the road cut out of the spur of a hill with other sites cut in steps below it. The restrooms/showers are just down the hill from the adjacent site.
