I really like this pic from last year. Okie and I on The Tail of The Dragon.

Unless something bad happens I'll see y'all in a couple of months. Not sure which bike I'll be on this year.

Just got done putting in my Reservation! (Friday night thru Sunday Night)
I'm set up in the bunk house!
              Getting excited!
Not sure how I'm getting there yet.
I may ride the whole way (500miles) or put Scarlet in the back of the truck like I did for XSEast. (I just don't want another Harley award. LOL)
I'm leaning towards riding, but I've got a few things to do before that, like putting some saddle bags on her.
I figure with them and the tank bag and my 'luggage' strapped on the back rack, I should be alright. Not sure if my arse can handle that though.

                George,

You'll get the HAULEY AWARD! At this event I can assure you ribbing about it. Last year, they rode from South Texas, South Florida, Oklahoma, and all those far away places I can't remember right now, like those folks who rode from Canada. Those listed rode XS1100s! For me, it was 100 miles, but I did get the distance award in Mexico, NY with my daughter on the pillion!

Hey! Somebody just completed the Iron Butt on an XS1100E!

Yeah, Marty I saw Scott's posts about the IBR and I aplaude him (and his butt).
I'm looking at routes and timing and have all but decided to ride there.
I know TC is trailering Zilla, but he's also going to AL to visit family first.

                    Hi George,
I am glad to hear you are riding to XSSoutheast. Now all you have to do is plan your route and decide how many extra days you are going to have to explore all the fun roads on your way there and back

If you look at the photo on the Facebook page, you'll see one woman. That would be my wife. Greg and Karen had taken their own ride after lunch and missed the photo. Ted & Heather went their own way as well. Terry came without Mary last year, which is unusual. Mark's wife came in 2011. I should add that the women all ride and have fun. We need more women to come! Our rides last year were spectacular, even with the wet roads.

On the Facebook page are photo albums from rallies past. The history of this one goes back to 2002. I encourage you to have a look.

Thanks Phil, This past weekend I moved the saddle bags over from the G to the SG, so now Scarlet is ready to haul me and my stuff.
I've got to figure out this handlebar vibration thing so my right hand doesn't go numb.
I've also got to figure out if my rear tire will last or if I should replace it before I go.

I'm taking Friday before and the Monday after off of work for the travel days, so not much time for 'exploring' during my ride down and back up.
This is the first time I've ever ridden further than 100 miles from home, so I think i'll be bringing some spare parts too, like a clutch cable.

If you're wondering whether or not your tire will last the trip, I dare say it won't. It will be far cheaper and more convenient to do it on your own terms before you come out here. Ask John or TC.
