Trucks don't bother me too much. If they decide to drive side by side for too long, I pass them on the shoulder and go on. I'm thinking EASIEST route is best, and sounds to me like the route through I-40 would be that. Thanks for the info.

400 miles is a half a day's trip for me...and thats what I'll be doing to get there...all NC roads OFC...
