    Phil,

You can do Americade every year, same place, same runs, same boats, etc etc. and NEVER see another XS. BTDT many times. Don't get me wrong, it's a good rally, but will never match the comeraderie of our group. And some of us have parts, too!

Ran a velorex on my '81 Special to the 10th anniversary Americade rally in '94. June 6th happens to be my daughter's birthday. That trip she celbrated her 1st birthday and won youngest rider. It was a hoot. Excuse the crappy scan.

I have my choice of the Americade ,your meet or a meet for the Venture riders in Ohio. I also own an 84 Honda V65 Sabre and an 85 Yamaha Venture Royale. So an exact location for the northeast get together would really help me plan if i can make it. Thanks Phil.

Ouch Marty ! Okay you guys have proven yourself to be a friendly bunch. Randy thats a nice 562 rig you have there, I have the high backed 700. I bought mine used in 94 and originally had it on a Yamaha 850 triple . But soon I realized i needed something bigger and the 1100 was my number one choice.

I found my 1100 rusting away out in the open in a guys backyard in Rochester N.Y. It was on full dress with a Pacifico fairing, lowers KC bags ans trunk. I walked away with it for $800.bucks. Put a new variable ignition in it for $95 dollars and had a strong running bike.

I've had electrical problems with the rig because of the power drain of all the lights in the fairing and the car. I sovled that by installing a car battery into the car . A trick a fellow chair rider showed me on the way home from Americade one year. Since then i've never had a bit of electrical trouble ever again.

My bikes name comes from the fact that it always has more than enough power to pull me, my kids (when they were younger) and a majority of our luggage and I could still run down my ex on her Honda Nighthawk S.

Both my kids ride their own bikes now but I love that old XS and chair. My son now rides a XJ750. My daughter a Suzuki GS650G.

But I like the idea of going to the rallye in Vermont. I have family in the area. and I could still go to Americade if i wanted.

Hey phil nice to know this site is Phil-ed up LOL! The greater Mississauga Toronto area is one of my favorite spots. One of my first long motrcycle trips was going all the way around Lake Ontario. Staying as close to the lake shore as possible. That included Rt.2 through your town. I'm a memeber of two or three forums Including the venture riders. We have a great bunch here in New York and if you're ever passin through let me know. Always glad to help out a fellow rider. Also the finger lakes area here has some great riding. Brattleboro sounds do-able Now I just have to see which of my friends wants to go where.

                Hi Wretched,
The early stages of planning. The more the merrier. Though they don't usually post much there will be atleast a couple of "girls" if your thinking of inviting the wife I am planning to go through Kingston ( Thousand Islands) with the next part still undecided.

                    Not me.

Sorry Randy that Wretched wasn't me. I've never had to open the head or the cases on mine. It had 30k on it when i bought it and now has over 45K. I devide my ridingtime between three bike and the New venture was getting a lot of seat time this year as i was learning about is abilities.Poor wretched took a back seat so to speak. Its developed a nasty hole in the right side exhaust ansd i'm going to have to fix that this year. I don't care for unneccesary loud.

Well Phil keep me informed as to when and where you'll be and we'll see if we can get to gether to ride of for coffee if nothing else.

My girlfirend loves the Chair and we rode it to Lake George in 2007 as her first long distance trip. She did real well . She rode behiond me the whole way up and most of the way back. I bought the Venture because i wanted a
"bike" that was as powerful and the 11 and a little more comfortable.
