                        • Hi Gary, the M72 CJ750 sidecar is ex military and is well suited to the power of an XS11. I picked this unit up in front of Coney Island in Brooklyn New York several years ago. It needed a lot of work. The bike needed a lot of work. The fabrication work was very time consuming. Most of your questions can be answered by reading this post from the beginning. I tried my best to be detailed in the construction of this project. Hopefully it will be helpful to you and others long after I am gone.

                          • Pulled out the bike (after 3.5 month layup). Took out the drain plugs on the carbs and turned the manual petcock on and flushed fuel through the carb bowls into a stainless catch. Returned the plugs with new copper crush washers. Put air in the tires and off we went. Ran great. Pulls like a train.

                            • Just found this thread. I have always said my XS would be a great candidate for a hack. Have never ridden one, nor do I have the build skills to make one. Seeing this makes me want to figure out a way to make it happen!

                              • I would answer any questions for anyone that wants to do this modification. In this topic, I showed the mount modifications which would be the most complicated part of the project. The alignment process is also key in a strait tracking machine.
