Paint, lets talk....To fit the build specs.... Everything done in house and stay under $1500 in including the cost of bike....So I get to paint the girl

Question on effects of flat, satin, and gloss clear coat on matte, satin, and gloss paint.... Ok let's see if I can ask and still not state my stupidity...

I understand what flat clear on matte paint will look like and satin on satin, gloss on gloss... My question is what effect does gloss clear over satin paint look like? Or satin gloss clear over gloss paint effect would be...

So in short does the sheen of the clear coat dominate the sheen of the paint and no effects of the paint would be seen.

Clear as mud!!!!!

DYI spooge hole probe.....Just use it like you are trying not to pop a balloon and all will be fine....

It's a wonderful thing to step away from your project to clear your head from time to time.....
OK revistited the spooge holes and was convinced I was the only owner of an XS1100 that had MC's with no spooge holes....this was after several magnifying glass inspections and jabbing every small object I could find in this imaginary hole...they just aren't there.... Wrong had to make a spooge hole killer out of a coat hanger to get the strength, size, and sharpness to knock out the plugged holes.....and sure enough there they are....

So got the rear brakes all bled out and 95% of fronts before time got in the way

Would explain it, but I just pulled them (bleeders) and could blow air both directions with no effort.....

Another fine idea shot down in flames! I think that'd leave a spooge hole (pressure return) malfunction.

If you put a rag around the rear master cylinder and loosen the brake line banjo fitting can you force brake fluid back into the bleeder screw? If the fluid'll go back that far but no farther then the spooge hole's plugged up.

3Phase are you saying that I may have these bleeders and that is why no reverse bleeding is working?

Well, it was Cap's idea, I just cleaned up his link and I agree with him that it's possible you have speed bleeders installed.
