  • I am also VERY interested in this setup. I am looking at purchasing a cheap XS11 to do the same SSSA style setup on, but won't buy it if the conversion is no longer available. Are they still available?

    • Sssa

DO the Ducati SSA, it will save you some headache, no attachment point to fab and weld.

      • Ducati it is . Im pikcing up my 75% complete parts bike nxt week, and I have a titled frame coming in as well. So I have a spare frame to test fit for any fabrication. Should come in handy. Got a quick question for you though. I have seen a few chain failures in the past, luckily never on my bike, and all on sportbikes. in most cases, the chain pretty much destroyed the sprocket cover, and even then, in a few instances there was still injury to the riders leg. Do you have any ideas for some sort of sprocket cover or a crossguard of some sort. Having a bare sprocket that close to the leg seems like it could do some serious damage if the chain were to fail.

          • Chain to shaft?

Hey, can someone help me out with XS/XJ Shafty parts to convert my GS to Yami Shafty? First some ratios?
            Thanks

            • xs11 middle drive ratio is almost 1:1
              XS11 FD is 3.3:1
You can stick on a 2.9:1 ratio from an XS750/850

This is last call for this year on the chaindrives.. I will need a good middle drive from you, just PM me, Chop.

                    • Hi xschop! I just found a new cushdrive with a brandnew aluminum 520 rear sprocket, so i now want to run a 520 chain on the chain setup but I have no clue where i can find a suitable front sprocket, do you have any idea? What spline do I have to look for?

                      • 520 sprockets

The XS-650 sprockets match the XS1100 middle shaft splines. They are what to look for. They come in 530 and 520 sizes and are relatively inexpensive. There is also an older Honda with these same spline patterns that Sprocket Specialists carry.
