Got around to getting some carbon fiber work done. I took a cracked Hayabusa front fender and chopped it up to get a cleaner look, then laid carbon fiber. The rear 1-piece cowl was done the same way. Only one layer and the structure is Much stiffer and I like the look of it....
Took with the camera.....
Do the XJ tank or not?
what swingarm did you used here? is it still a zrx1100 swingarm?....nice mod!

That XS11 has a Triumph ST single sided swingarm and an R1 monoshock. It's in another build thread somewhere... I like this SSSA the best because it is STOUT..... For your Virago shaft arm, just install an
R1 monoshock on one side, it is perfect for the XS11 and has all the bells and whistles.....

my bike got a virago swingarm with dual shocks...but i have a virago monoshock too...i used the previous because i can retain the location of the battery....and i also tucked my mufflers under the seat, ducati-style.

Hey Chop,
I am still on the fence with the chain drive swap on this other bike but I may still do it to have a spare laying about. I wonder if this non titled monster is worth saving or if I should part it. What do you all think honestly?
How difficult was it to lay the CF? It looks great. Ive been debating skinning a tail in CF for Juggy. I can get the CF cheap too since my stepmother works for a company that makes the fabric. But Ive never tried laying CF before and have only done a few small fiberglass jobs.
Hey Freeze, Not difficult on large smooth surfaces. Indentions as they become smaller are more difficult, unless you have a vacuum setup....
P.S. I will start on that custom 30mm middle drive spacer this weekend. Oklahoma had 9-10 inches snow and ice and am ancy to get to the shop.

I might be able to find a vacuum setup if I really looked. I dont know if I am going to go to that much trouble just yet though. I get my tax refund hopefully this week or next week so I will get with you then for payment on the spacer.
We got lucky with the weather. Its sunny and warm here. 40s and 50s, but in the sun, its perfect. Im pulling the carbs on my FZR today to figure out why my #4 cylinder keeps dying on me, and Ill be out riding all day tomorrow job hunting, carbs willing. Gonna see if some bike shops will hire me. I could really use an employee discount And how much trouble could I get into at a shop that parts out used bikes on top of bike and retail sales? There are quite a few near me.
Sound like a great mod! Will you have pics soon? or is there a link for them already? $850 is the price for a bolt on conversion with a mid drive from me?
A fine running motor is a tune you just can't get out of your head.
