  • Glad to see you're recovering, all the best from over this side of the pond. And a huge thanks to the fantastic medical staff.

    • That look

Is a positive improvement over the last one I saw.

PO'ed is good, beats the other look that was positively scary. I'm glad he's mobile and making great progress.

      • Glad to see you here on the forum Anita. Hope you are doing well, as Brant appears to be doing judging by that last MUCH better looking picture!

          • Hey Anita! Good to have you on the board.

Brant looks pretty good for what he's been through. Ha ha ha, now he'll have to get the XS on the road.

That look on his face is "DAMN! My ST is junk".

            • We all know what a nice Venturer Brant has...so there no doubt that the ST1100 is more expendable...there are plenty of them still out there for not a whole lot of money...but the "Bently on Steroids" is just about irreplacable...

              • Brant Update

First, thank you all for the posts. Some made me laugh out loud.

Brant had his PEG (gastric tube in his stomach) put in today. It went very well. He will start eating through it tomorrow. Was not totally with us today but neither would I be if I hadn't slept in 3 days! Hopefully tonight will be better.

                I'll keep you posted.

                Anita

PS: In the picture, it was not a grimace. This was his best effort at a smile.

                  • At least on his next ST he can skip the pink stickers!

What would my choice be for the first "meal" via the PEG?

Bourbon I think. Yes bourbon. Its got corn and other goodness.

                    Hang in there Brant.

Definitely cucumbers. I don't particularly like them a lot, but they make me burp up that taste the rest of the day, and at least I'd get to taste SOMETHING that way! lol.

.... followed by a good bourbon.

                      • Great Day!

Brant had a really good day. The highlight was when Vinny from the ST site came to visit. Brant knew who he was and they talked motorcycles. He was the most happy, with it, and animated he has been since the accident.

Since motorcycles are not my strong point (understatement), I may be calling a few of you to talk with him when we are in a room with signal. Maybe even skype or ooVoo.

I will get Bob or John to post a picture of Vinny's visit. It was the best therapy he could have had today.
