I don't have any new update Mack. Did talk to the investigating trooper though, as he needs a witness report from me.
He could not release any details to me, but did verify that she turned herself in on a felony warrant. The accident was captured on video as well. Would like to see that, but I doubt it will be possible. I'll try.80 SG

I just spoke to Anita - she was at the vet getting the dog a well check certificate - Doc thinks seeing the pup may have a good effect on Brant so he's getting a 4 legged visitor!
He's doing better everyday in small increments - he has been moved to Intermediate Care which is stepped down from ICU and hence the dog is able to visit, but he still has difficulty with swallowing so cannot progress to the Neuro unit just yet. He can't seem to keep the nasogastric tubes in as he pulls them out so they are putting in a surgical feeding tube (PEG) into his stomach to get better nutrition into him for healing until his swallow reflex is healed.
His wrist is pinned from the surgery and wrapped still but he can move his fingers.
She said his speech is clear, and sometimes he makes sense and others he doesn't and still is agitated easily, but he was always agitated easily
They are removing him from many of the medications that have kept him "relaxed" so she thinks he may soon be ready for a phone conversation. He can see and read fine.
Everyday she is seeing small improvements so she is thankful for everyone's continued thoughts and prayers.

Thank you, John; way to go, Anita!
Brant may be making sense to Brant but there's no shared context. If he said, for example, "Your carburetors are having electrical problems!" but there was no shared context then no one would understand if he said anything about Mikuni sparkplug boots.

An encouraging report ... small daily improvements are good!!
At this point, I think that's about the most anyone can expect.
