    • Tanked

Finally got my tank back on and rode it for the first time in 3 months. The tank looks great, black w/ blue pearl. The pearl is only visible at certain angles and in direct sunlight. Now the rest of the paint on the bike looks like crap. Is this one of those times when a pinhole in a tank turns into a full restoration? Pics to follow. No time for a photo shoot. I am busy making a bassinet for my newest grandchild, born a month early this evening in Ogden, Utah. Maybe I'll stop in to see Tcoop when I go to see the new arrival in a few weeks.

Congratulation on your new grandchild. Hopefully baby and mom are doing fine. Just let me know when you’re in the area and we can meet up.

          • Looks Good !!!

I like the color matched front fender.

What seat do you have on there ?

            • The seat is off a 2004 Sportster. I've tried several different styles; I'll see how this one feels.

Painted the tank on the XJ750.

it still needs to be cleaned up (got some finger prints). Next will be the front fender and cleaning and repainting the engine and headers.

                • Yami

I finally got around to doing something with Yami.
Installed a new set of rear shocks, the cheap kind made in Taiwan.
Removed the seat, took off the cover and the foam padding.
Then I modified the steel frame to fit a bit better ( was off another model ) then sanded the frame and painted it. When the paint is dry I will make a new cover and put it back together.
I removed the rear brake caliper as the pads were down to the metal.
                  New parts are on order.
And I made enquiries about a sidecar that I will look at on Monday.
