Don,
Have you ever used one of those double bucket seats? My bike had one on it when I bought it. I hated it. I know my taste isn't everybody's, but I found it very uncomfortable. I didn't appreciate its appearance either. If you've tried it and like it that's great. I know a lot of people like them.Marty (in Mississippi)

Not on a XS. My seat is similar to a double bucket. With just less bucket, which causes a down hill slide. My buddies Gl1100 has a double bucket. I love it on that bike... I agree they are not for everyone. I have a non-existent ass so they seem to shape me fine. I'd really like to see one in person on a xs thou before I pull the trigger. Kinda hard to do thou..Don

Hey ddragon, mine has the double bucket and i love the feel and it holds you when you twist the wrist. I dont think it looks as good as what it would with a factory seat but i dont think the sissy bar does either. I think it would look "sportier" with factory seat and no sissybar/rack. But, i really like the feel and I am sure it is way better for 2 riders. Let me try to post a pic.

JJ,
If you've ever seen pics of my bike. Looking sporty is not a concern of mine. It's full dressed and used for a touring bike. My trunk is big enough to carry a smaller bike I'll check out you pic when I get to my home computer. Looks like what I'm looking for on my phone here. But will get a good look on a bigger screen. Have you ridden 2 up on it yet? If so how is the ride and what does passengers think about it? ThanksDon

I've heard really good things about Sargent seats, although expensive,I'm sure Old Man is gonna be around along time I would think i'd be a good investment.I'm planning on going that route maybe this winter. Also,I find a throttle boss to stop cramping and fatigue in the upper extremities. I wired my bike for the Vetter today, amazing, everything worked right the first time. Getting rubber washers tomm. and mounting. Will post pic's as soon as possible.Going to camp this weekend.FOXS-XS11SG

I've owned Sargent's stuff on sport bikes... Personally I wasn't too impressed with them for the price I had to pay. but on a sport bike seat there isn't too much you can do... there quality was very nice, I just didn't see that much of an improvement from stock comfort-wise for the big $'s. YMMV with an XS seat. I plan on contacting a few places before making my decision.Don

Getting ready to ride Old Man into town and drop him off @ my buddies Bike Shop. The old dog needs new steering head bearings. Gonna let the professional's handle this fix.... no time or will-power to do it right now. Plus I got the buddy deal going hopefully I can pay for the bearing kit and swap his labor for some supplies and it cost me NOTHING in the end. Still waiting for the brake pads for Izzy to come in. AND I've got my XR400R dismantled... AGAIN time to put a jet kit in the carb and adjust the valves....
Got the jeep up and running the other day for those that didn't see my post about that.... Next up is to pull the fishing boat around front, charge the batteries, change the oil, add some gas, drop the shaft between the motor and the jet pump, and fire the gas guzzler up!
Too many toys, very little time, even less funds, and zero patience!!!Don
