Yeah I can understand the sitter thing, tara is very picky about who watches our son. I'd love to meet up but I won't be back saturday, I think were going to stay saturday up near the bridge and then come back sunday morning via 119 and 31 along the shore line. I've heard the ride along 119 from cross village south is really nice.

119 is awesome! Though, it is only 18' wide and no lines painted, so watch people sneaking into your lane. If you time your visit to Cross Village for dinner or even lunch, the Leg's Inn is so worth the stop. Polish food, with a few other things. Check it out. Across the road from the Legs Inn is a artisan rug making shop I've heard is cool. (Heard it on NPR tonight, actually)

I'd be down for a beer tomorrow or Saturday. Okay, well, just about any time. PM me and I'll check back in here. My buddy just told me that Hopcat has a deal tomorrow 4-6 for a burger, fries, and a Michigan Draft for $5.

Psycoreefer- gimme a call if you wanna hook up tonight or tomorrow.

Sorry I didn't get with you for that beer, SWMBO had a terrible migrane wed, thurs, and friday, didn't feel right leaving her with a screaming two year old while I went for a beer.

119 was nice, couple of the curves surprised me, somehow some of the 20mph curves are rideable at 40 and some really are 20 mph curves.....

Ended up doing 600 miles total this weekend, the bar in Pellston has some good pizza, lots of toppings.

The only problems I had were that the pad on my sissy bar blew off somewhere between pellston and cross village, and my horn quit working halfway to the bridge. All in all it was a great ride, hopefully I can catch you next time...

Hey, no biggie. Next time. Sorry to hear about your pad & horn, but I'm glad to hear it was a good ride. My FD oil seal still hasn't arrived. Hopefully it's there, and they just failed to call me. Happy trails.

I was out for a little ride tonight. Flint to Davison to Frankenmuth to Lapeer and back to Flint. It was a great night to be out. Getting ready for the fall color tour season.

                  Hardy Dam/Brower

Hey is anybody going to Hardy Party?
This is a boating event, for those that don't know. I know this is motorcycle forum, but trying to meet other XSer's anyway I can. I'll be there Friday night through Sunday at Brower.

                          UP ride?

I was thinking about a UP ride next weekend (Oct 2,3,4 or so). Colors should be starting to turn. Weekend of the 12th might be better, but I already have commitments that weekend.

Anyone interested in a trip up to the Keweenaw Peninsula? I'd prefer to take off Friday, but if there are some interested, but unable to take Friday off of work, Sat morning is okay too. (still waiting on that seal, but I figure a leaky final isn't the end of the world -I'll just bring some extra oil) I'm open to camping or motels. Might have a place to crash in Houghton (depends on how many would be coming).

I have a few roads in mind up there. 41 and 26 for sure, out toward Ontonagon, through the Porkies, there's a twisty county road between Marquette and Gwinn I believe. I know a few good spots to eat, and route could be tweaked for good food. Suggestions are always welcome, esp. by the yooper crew. Anyone interested?

Sounds like a good ride. I will not be able to take Friday off at this time, So I'm about a 20% chance on GO.

Here is something that is going on this weekend. I'll be up there tonight and weather does not look good for tomorrow. www.Bikesonthebricks.com

I'll see what I can do on the U.P. color tour though. I just may bring some others along too (no other XSer's though). I'll keep you posted. When do you have to know for sure on the Friday gig?

Put 150 miles on around lower Michigan today. Colors are not ready, but I'll do my best to be when the time comes.

It's looking like the forcast is iffy for next weekend so far. Granted, things can change in the next couple days, but still... I can check and see if I can switch my prior commitments to this weekend if people would be more able to make the weekend of the 12th. Let me know. I can probably be ready to rock with a day or two heads-up.

Flatlander, others- what do you think of pushing it back? A little more advanced warning, might be a better weather outlook. OTOH, might be worse.

                                Opinions?

-Colors are out in Gaylord. Probably starting in the Porkies too.
