I want to, but I'm throwing a surprise b-day party for my girlfriend on Sat. People will still be over on Sun morning, so I doubt I'll ditch them to head down. I'd like to experience it one of these years, though.

Sounds like it'd be fun. I have prior engagements that I must attend to this weekend.

            How did it go?

Anybody have any ideas on a ride for today?
I've got the itch this morning and see that a few of you are in the area.

where in michigan are you? I've got no plans for a ride today, actually I'm headed over to help another member balance his carbs, but next weekend there is a "vintage" bike show at the gilmore car museum, I'm planning on going to that. If you do a google search you'll find their page.

                Hope the carbs go well.

Next weekend sounds intresting.........but my bike is not in any kind of "show" condition. Sounds like all bikes that show will be on display or part of the display?.?.?

Cool.....finding more and more from around here. You are about 30 minutes from me. But still have never been next to another XS. I have seen 3 on the road in 12 years.

So what do you say, lets try and get together for the "vintage" bike show at the gilmore car museum. Possibly a meet and greet somewhere before and then motor over to the show and that way there will be possibly a couple of us XSer's parked close and share some stories on these things. Justa suggestion.

I did get the itch taken care of today!

I took care of the "itch" yesterday. Rode up to Oscoda for the day but it was only like 45 up there and at 70 mph, you can guess the rest of the story. So I was sittin up at the park snapping this photo when a guy and his gal on a hardley pulled up. He circled around my bike and stopped and asked what it was and I told him a 78 XS1100 He said, "Oh yeah? a buddy of his used to own one and said that all ya gotta do is change the oil and they run forever." I just said, "yeah, it runs good."

UUUMM..........Rode 300 miles to finish curing the "itch"! Or no? Or did you save a little to get you back out again in a couple of days?

                        Nice bike by the way!

After I thawed out a bit, I was good to go again. Wanted to get out today for a little bit but didn't get the chance to.

                          Thanks!
