    'Just heard the news!

WOW, Russ, what can I say??
I just found out, 'haven't been frequenting the site as often as I should.
As you know, I've sorta "been there done that" kinda thing.
Remember this: You only heal up once.
I know that it's late in the thread but - - - don't push yourself. give yourself time to heal up correctly or else you will pay for it from now on.
So -- -- -- XS East in the Pocono's huh??? Gotta do a little research in the Rally's thread I suppose.
Can I wear my "Pocono's Bike Week '89" Rally T-Shirt???
I haven't been doing much riding either.
My father passed away Sept. 22. On Sept. 24 I rode 'half way to Fredrick MD [and back], to meet one of the pawbearers on his Gold Wing; I was riding my 'Wing. I led all the way.
Keith told me at the northern beginning of WV Rt 19, " I bet you won't do 90 and 95 mph on Rt. 19, ESPECIALLY in the Nicholas County area!"
I led at 85 to 90 mph on Rt. 19!
    'Haven't rode since.
'Suppose to get up to about 50 deg. here today. 'Tentively planning on taking my first ride of the year. At least put the batteries in and starting up my 'Wing and the KLX.
I'll check out the Rally's thread. 'Can't make any promises. Last year on Mem. Day Week-end I was putting up first cutting of hay.
Side Note: I kept 20 head of Dad's Black Angus cattle herd. sold 25. These cattle are already bred, due to calve anytime.
Between work, farming, taking care of my 78 year old mother; well, you get the picture.
Poconos ehh???? 'Could be "doable". If it rains I'm a shoe-in!
[Like the old saying, Gotta make hay while the sun shines!]
You take care bro, hope you've healed up great by now!
    Ride Safe,
    Greg

      Hey Greg,

Yeah, I had an interesting end to 2007 to say the least. I'm pretty well healed up just a little stiff. Doing PT 3 times a week so I'm slowly getting everything back.

Sorry to hear about your Dad. Sounds like your pretty busy. I'm planning on making XSEast for at least Friday night but will probably head home on Sat. due to my Grandson's first birthday.

Hope you make it to the rally so we can have a brew or two .

Hi Russ. Our recovery periods seem to have pretty much parallelled each other. I have pretty good range of motion in my shoulder now but it feels far from normal. It will be interesting getting back on a bike in a couple months. Hope it's going well and to see you in PA!

          Hey Dean,

Glad to hear you're doing OK. I'm walking OK with a little limp right now. Working on range of motion for ankle and neck and should be good as new by May .

I'm working on the bike a little and hope to have it ready for XSEast. If not I'll take the BMW to PA.

          See you there.

However you two make it here, just as long as you make it. It'll be good to see you both again.

P.S. Dean, saw a NYS vanity plate the other day:

              Re: Re: Hi Russ

I can get up and down the stairs now and have been turning a wrench of the FZ. Gotta get some parts and patch it up.

Good pic's. Looks like you got some new gear. See you in May. [/B][/QUOTE]

Yes Russ, I got a snow mobile jacket mail order on sale last summer. Works well. Zipper on my leather jacket wore out.

How goes the progress with healing and bikes?

              Spring time is coming.
