Well I'm all done with surgery (I hope). I got the ankle done on Sat. and was released that night. Spent Sun. adjusting to the new pain.

I feel pretty good today and need to make some phone calls for future Dr. appointments and other stuff. My daughter and SIL have been taking care of me. My friends have been helpful even if it comes with a ration of sh*t.

      Talk to you later.

Does anyone know where I can get a copy of the accident report? What police dept. do I need to call. I never talked to a Cop. I guess that's good news. I have some insurance that needs a copy. Thanks.

          DO DRUGS!!!

This is the time - the DR. has prescribed them, all the pain and rations of sh*t all go away in a happy flight of yellow daffodils.......

Well anyway, even if you are in pain you won't give a rat's a**.....

Glad you are able to post!!! Someone has the nice LEO's name for a copy of the report, I think.

            Report !

            Hi Russ,
I do recall a copy of the Police report being put in a "safe place". Try your tank bag as I think you had already left with your jacket. Are you hobbling around yet or still stuck in bed?

Yeah drugs are cool. I just got a new order to go with the old order so now one little white pill and one big pink pill and all the shi* goes away.

I gave you a sheet with the officers name and dept on it, it said after 10 days you can call for an accident report. Something like that anyway.

Man I must be on drugs as I don't remember that at all. I do know the Hospital staff threw out a bunch of my papers when I switched rooms after my neck operation.

My SIL put all my gear in the truck so I guess I'll have to call Jeff to look through it. Or wait until the truck and bike make it here.

I'm using crutches. It sucks. However I'm glad to be here and moving around so I'll take it considering the alternatives.

Well it cant hurt to call. Bruce had one blurry photo of the police car, says Sheriff on the door so my guess is Rabun Co. Sheriff, this is from there website:

How can I request or receive a copy of a report?
Copies of reports may be obtained by any of the following ways:
Contacting Records by telephone to verify a report is ready. The number is (706) 782-7482.
Mail a request for a copy of a report. The address is:
                      Rabun County Sheriff's Office
                      Attn : Records
                      25 Courthouse Square
                      Suite 301
                      Clayton, GA 30525

Come to the Sheriff's Office, go to Records and request a copy of a report.
Records office is open Monday - Friday with the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Copies of reports will not be faxed.

I'll verify it for you. Gary is correct. The accident was in Rabun County. The County Sheriff has jurisdiction at the accident location.

                              Question For Gary

Tried to send a PM but your box is full.

                              Hey Gary,

I got my truck and bike back yesterday. The bike seems to be in better condition than I am.

I called the guy who hit my truck and he seems to think that all he did was put a 2 in. scratch on my truck (how he knows that is beyond me).

Looking at the truck the 2 in. scratch seems to have a dent associated with it that was not there when I parked my truck at TWO. It looks to me that they they are from the same event.

                              Is this what you remember?

                              Russ

try my inbox again, i deleted everything.

i think there is a longer scratch on th rear quarter panel, like 12 inches, and a dent on or just behind drivers side door.
