'Just heard the news!
WOW, Russ, what can I say??
I just found out, 'haven't been frequenting the site as often as I should.
As you know, I've sorta "been there done that" kinda thing.
Remember this: You only heal up once.
I know that it's late in the thread but - - - don't push yourself. give yourself time to heal up correctly or else you will pay for it from now on.
So -- -- -- XS East in the Pocono's huh??? Gotta do a little research in the Rally's thread I suppose.
Can I wear my "Pocono's Bike Week '89" Rally T-Shirt???
I haven't been doing much riding either.
My father passed away Sept. 22. On Sept. 24 I rode 'half way to Fredrick MD [and back], to meet one of the pawbearers on his Gold Wing; I was riding my 'Wing. I led all the way.
Keith told me at the northern beginning of WV Rt 19, " I bet you won't do 90 and 95 mph on Rt. 19, ESPECIALLY in the Nicholas County area!"
I led at 85 to 90 mph on Rt. 19!
'Haven't rode since.
'Suppose to get up to about 50 deg. here today. 'Tentively planning on taking my first ride of the year. At least put the batteries in and starting up my 'Wing and the KLX.
I'll check out the Rally's thread. 'Can't make any promises. Last year on Mem. Day Week-end I was putting up first cutting of hay.
Side Note: I kept 20 head of Dad's Black Angus cattle herd. sold 25. These cattle are already bred, due to calve anytime.
Between work, farming, taking care of my 78 year old mother; well, you get the picture.
Poconos ehh???? 'Could be "doable". If it rains I'm a shoe-in!
[Like the old saying, Gotta make hay while the sun shines!]
You take care bro, hope you've healed up great by now!
Ride Safe,
Greg
