I have most of the parts for the 79 SF to get it running. Don't know if I can get it to stop. Need brake overhaul. Has a standard tank.
The 79F is in the background. Needs ignition parts. Beyond that, all there except headlight. 82XJ need carbs cleaned. Needs minor parts replaced and some luck. Who knows. Next summer for the Xj And the SF???
What I need most right now is some luck. Yahooooo.

It's actually in pretty decent shape and Runs well. Needs a good engine cleaning, cases polished and the header redone or replaced.

          79 standard round light

It don't look like it was in a fire, until you get close and see the burnt wires going to the coils and clutch cable. but it was in a fire has all kind of issues with carbs and breaks and fires up when it want runs real well at higher rpm's tach needle broke so don't know how high, but while sitting in my back yard on two flat tires it revs louder and a little higher than a chain saw hope to rebuild her soon just won the last brake front brake master cylyder on ebay but haven't made payment so in jeapardy of losing it. hopefully have it street able by summer no light only brake light but it don't work. in very bad condition and motor is partially seized . See you guys on the open highways soon!!!!!!!!

It's still not fair that us 80-82 guys don't get to chime in.

Well, not quite... You've got a little blueing on those headers there!! And if you let anyone else close to it, you'll end up with drool streaks all over it too! That is one beautiful bike, for sure!

This is mine. I still need a headlight and I ordered a color tune kit today. I have worked on it on and off for years and just as i thought I had every thing right the T's started leaking so I tried the rubber hose trick I saw on here and it worked. now I just need to tune in the carbs and find the headlight. The faring makes it too heavy.

Hey xsivegary, If you don't mind me asking, What are the bars off? and are you using the stock master cylinder? I've tried flat bars on mine, but they didnt look right and the brake cylinder was on too much of an angle for my liking so i went back to the stock bars. I like the look of yours. Mines an 80 so doesnt qualify for this thread, and it's broken at present, so no pics till it's fixed.

Hey, xsivegary, if you don't mind me asking, is that a special filter, or a bit of photoshopping, or did you actually have that star painted onto your tank? I like it!
