I list my bike as not spec and in very good condition. My bike is not spec because I do not have factory coils, wires and plugs and do not have the right fork caps. I also don't have factory paint or even a good matched repaint at this pint in time. I list my bike as being in very good condition because it is not in "mint" condition

I would have to say my spec is in very good condition near mint Its all original except for the exhaust witch I replaced with Jardine spaggeti pipes (original pipes turned blue when I went to answer the phone and left it running for 15 min. ouch) It spent most of its life covered in a heated garage 14000 babied miles runs purrrfect.

Mine is in very rough shape. Paint is bad, all the chrome has rusted, stuff is missing.

The luggage that came with it is in the same shape, paint all chipped, scratched and faded, chrome all rusted.

Windjammer was broken, fixed, broken again, and pieces were falling out.

Engine has shot rod bearings, cams were galling in the head.

Has wrong seat, king/queen from a speical, but the sissy bar support is missing.

Wrong size tire on the front (90/90-19), both tires wore out.

              52,000kms.

Funny thing is it ran. Kept the mosquitos away, though.

Mine is an 80, though, not a 78-79
Nice day, if it doesn't rain...

I am just curious to see how many spec mint bikes there are still around. This board is a likely good example.
I know that all the bikes on this board are or soon will be good runners and some run better then stock.

Oh, not quite spec, but not radical, either. She looks good to me.

                    Nice pipes, John!

BTW, rman, yours looks WAY better than mine did when I got it! You picked a name for her yet?

                      Hi guys,

What does "spec" mean?; Sorry, I am not local!

This is my most Stock XS: Ex-US SG!

                      I also have a Trike, one with a hardtailed stock frame, one in a "Eurocustom" swingarm frame;

And the remains of a ratty 1100 which has been broken up to fix-up the others.

Hey Alan .. to spec means "to specification" or in other words the way the bike was delevered from the manufacturer.

                              Pathfinder

Not quite to spec as the saddle bags and top box are additions other than stock. I do have the sissy bar that came with it and the stock seat, but not the saddlebags, otherwise it is stock and in mint condition.
