      • Hey guys, I have a couple cool pictures to share that I took playing the picture game on the .org site. Thought I might share them with you all also. Just FYI the picture game (which we should start here!) is based on taking a picture of your bike with specific items im the background. The first person to meet the challenge gets to choose the next item in the background. If no one meets the challenge then the challenger has to post up said item in order to choose the next item. If he cannot produce then the person prior chooses next item... make sense? Maybe if there is enough interest we can start a picture challenge thread..? Ah, anyways heres my bike in front of a WWII tug boat. I like to take my pictures at a distance as my bike is good from far but far from good.

Just for giggles, heres some more...

                • Thanks, I am thinking about doing something a little different with the exhaust. Wanna try to fit up a more sport bike style muffler and heat wrap the headers with either tan or black heat wrap. My buddy had an exhaust tip that sounded super mean. I wanna try to find that one or something similar. Powder coat the fenders rims and fork tubes. Then polish the aluminum covers and maybe paint the fins and valve cover and do the sanding on the edges. Went thru all the pics and am trying to take my favorite things from them all and incorporate them into one bike I found a guy who does really cheap powder coating. I think like I could get all the bar controls, and the rest I stated earlier for around 2-3 bones. I think he even does frames for $50. Won't go that far until I see some of his work first tho

She is gonna be my super sport bike for zippin around town with buddies. Need a tourer tho. Might keep the 81H for that.

                              • WMarshy, challenge excepted

This is my bike being hoisted aboard my first vessel sailing on my USCG liscense. Launched in 1983, the USNS Contender served the United States for many years and is continuing service as an Academy Training Vessel for Texas A&M maritime. This former sonar array tower took part in many notable events such as the search and rescue of EgyptAir flight 990 crash (under the US Merchant Marine Academy colors as T/V Kings Pointer) and later she was actually used a film set in the movie The Royal Tenebaums.

In this photo, you can see the T/V Kings Pointer (USNS Contender) hoisting my 1980 XS1100G aboard using the stores crane for a slow trip down the east coast from Kings Point, NY to a shipyard in Jacksonville, FL. After her shipyard stay, she was send back to NY for her final voyage before being transferred to Texas A&M Maritime.
