            • Well I finally finished my XJ upgrade, here's just some of the things I did to it. I had parts of the handlebars, the rack and seat rails along with the case guards powder coated black. Painted the valve cover and cylinders black. I polished the engine case covers, forks & shocks along with the side covers. Repainted the tank and changed the emblems, including removing all references to YICS. I also installed a hydraulic clutch. I changed the exhaust from a Kerker to a Jardin spaghetti pipe. And I installed an electronic oil pressure and temp gauge. Many more little details that I won’t bore you with.

                  • Thanks for the compliments. It started out with the intent of just a quick cleaning and installing the hydraulic clutch. That was 12 months ago.

Then the "while I'm at it" list kept growing and growing...

                              • Thanks Cuda, the sunlight hides some things, I have done a lot of cleaning and touch up but it needs more. I'd love to get the tank repainted, those white panels seem like a perfect place for some art of some kind.
I don't know if I ever will due to keeping it stock looking but it's crossed my mind a few times. Over all it's been a great bike and I really enjoyed it so far, best trade I ever made.
