Last year Harley Dave and I drove through the night from PA. I think we went in and out of Tennessee a few too many times. Dave's autopilot was sleeping and mine was, well, guess I don't have one.

Hi Marty, no not you.
Talking about Marty A. He claims he and Dave (rainbow shooter) drove an extra hundred miles getting there last year. His story about the trip is quite funny.
Going to be good seeing everyone again. Little shorter trip for you this time but about the same as WV for me.
Hi guys,
I think we all know it isn't Bruce we'll have to worry about keeping up with....... I'm not the one bringing an Italian race bike ....... just a 15 yr old Suzuki and let's not forget..... Top Cat's bringing Godzilla and we've all seen him ride and have the videos to prove it !!!!
10 more days, but who's counting ?????

Now Bruce, you sound like all those Friday night cruisers I remember in the 60's, just before they waved the $20 and just before the light turned green.
I think Gary is kind enough to NOT show us all up too much. I also think anyone who rides behind him ought to be WAY-Y-Y behind him. Have you heard them Italian trumpets at WOT?
Can't wait!!

Mary and I can't wait to see y'all (youse guys, for you Yankees) again. We are staying at the old airport location in shoebox #1 (bunkhouse #1), but we'll be over to TWO to see you on Friday afternoon. Did T.C. decide he was going to come this year? It just wouldn't be the same without him.

I don't know what the planned route is this year but some sections of the Blue Ridge Parkway were washed out and may not be fixed yet as of 10/7. The Cherohala Skyway is fine though(and that's probably my most favorite road )
Does anyone happen to know if all accomodations are booked up around TWO?
When I was down that way a couple of weeks ago the report said that it would be a while before the Blueridge Parkway would be open.
But the Cherohala Parkway was in excellent shape. I would go back there tommorrow IF I could get the time off. Darn shutdowns.... Oh well overtime for some new toys...

I'm driving down in my little SUV, it has a fold down back seat, I could probably bring an air cushion to sleep on in it, IF they would allow "us" to sleep in the car. However, I know it gets pretty cold when the engine isn't running!! I don't have a sleeping bag!
Well, I hope you two are able to make it! See everybody else there!
