  • 2004 Classic Yamaha Rally in Suches, GA

The Classic Yamaha Rally in Suches, GA is October 15th, 16th and 17th. I just made reservations for a cabin at the old Airport location of TWO. It's now called High Valley Resort and the cabins are still $40 a night. There are still three cabins available and you can get info at: HighValleyResort

I'll see if I can get someone to post more info on the rally.

Guys, the 300-mile ride is to where? I'm thinking of hooking up with the group in the middle of the 300-mi ride.

Randy, I'm glad you will be coming down to GA -- I can't wait to meet you. I'll let you know as soon as I find out where we will be riding. The rally master, Robert Reil, is moving this week and is hard to get in touch with.

Last year, the rally went to NC and TN, but I'll get you more info about this year's rally route later.

I have the weekend off, so I plan to be there as well. I hope to see the place full of XS bikes again this year. The XS1100 dominated the last two of these meets. Last year the XS650 made a good showing as well.

Looking forward to the rally again this year, really enjoyed it last year. Friend Terry will also be coming, just have to talk him into riding his Yamaha 650 rather than that big ol VTX! Hopefully this year it won't be 38 degrees and rain when we start out. Thinking about taking another day or two and riding the blueridge parkway back.

I'm 2.5 hours to the south of TWO. I wouldn't suspect any serious damage. I've seen a few trees down and some temporary power outages. There's probably nothing to worry about.

I was thinking about WV a few days after a storm there, washed out roads and gravel pits in some of the curves.

Was looking forward to meet you Randy. Next time...
