So here we go, was it Brunswick County Virginia -or- Brunswick Georgia?

The infamous 1898 stew pot where stew recipe was concocted

Curious if it was St Simons then why isn't it called St Simons Stew (remember Gallagher? and his isms)

Checking out the "Original Brunswick Stew"

We were surprised that the lid actually came off

Yuck, running away at a brisk pace

    Pot was pretty nasty.

And filled with nasty too, but didn't see any squirrel or rabbit or possum in there
    So legend is maybe suspect

    Let the debate continue.

      Boardwalk in the Okefenokee

Helps keep alligators and the venomous snakes attacks

      Bike arriving with Mike

A few of us walked out to the Chesser Homestead in the Okefenokee

Take some guts to try and set up a homestead in the swamp with so many critters around that can kill you

Late lunch buffet in Folkston at the Brickhouse

Fall off the bone chicken and ribs
Some went to Subway as not to ruin dinner (or that might be supper depending on where you live)

Guess that's about it. Got 100 more pics but can't do em' all

Weather had been great. But 2/3 of the way back to Atlanta on Monday missed by 90 seconds.

Jerry with Mike & Brent in the Car Wash waiting for the severe T-storm to pass

Darn near made it but storm was like a premium Car Wash.
60 mph crosswind gusts and torrential rain.
Nice thing it was sunny and warm again after the wall of black clouds passed by us heading east as we continued on NW.

Good Rally. Plenty of time to talk and eat too.

                Hammered

Right in to the car wash is correct. When lightning strikes within inches of you and your bike, you will find shelter Damn quick! But, we were fine. And BRENT did have his cigar. Rain suits on at this point. Home bound, no problems. Thanks to our leader Jeff for taking us to some beautiful back roads all the way to south GA and FL. Ready to ride some more.

I am back at work. Can't access xs11.com from home anymore, returns a "can't find server" error on either my Mac Pro or my Win 10 box.

I enjoyed the trip. JeffH put together some good riding routes and I particularly enjoyed Jekyll Island and the Okefenokee National Wildlife Area where I spotted two alligators. Had good food throughout and sampled Brunswick stew.

Met some new people as well as meeting up with familiar faces. Many thanks to Mike, Scott, and BikerPhil as they helped me when my left arm was not working very well due to a fall.

My one regret is not staying an additional night with JeffH back in Atlanta, but a nasty winter storm was hitting the upper mid-west (Winter storm Wesley) and by leaving early I *almost* missed it. Ran into some snow in central Wisconsin but the bulk hit after I had reached my wife at her sister's place further north. Mileage on the bike for this trip was 1,017.

Pleasant riding, good company, good food, new areas and things to see and do. I'ld say it was a successful rally!

                    Rally

                    Hi Jerry,

Agreed - a successful rally. Good that you almost missed the storm. Hope your shoulder is on the mend. Glad you could join us this year. We will likely repeat a trip south near this same time next year. Nice to see everyone that attended. Ready for the next excursion. Keeping fingers crossed that website repairs are accomplished sooner than later?
